Vacancies

The total of 600 vacancies is distributed as follows:

  • General: 240
  • Scheduled Caste (SC): 87
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST): 57
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC): 158
  • Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 58

Special provisions have been made for candidates with disabilities:

  • Visually Impaired (VI): 10
  • Mobility Impaired (MI): 6
  • Hearing Impaired (HI): 26
  • Multiple Disabilities: 26

Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: A bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Final-year students can also apply, provided they can submit their graduation certificate by April 30, 2025.
  • Age Limit: Candidates must be between 21 to 30 years as of April 1, 2024.
    • Relaxations:
      • SC/ST: 5 years
      • OBC: 3 years
      • Physically Handicapped: 10 years
      • Ex-servicemen: As per government norms

Pay Scale

Selected candidates will enjoy an attractive pay scale ranging from ₹48,480 to ₹85,920, along with additional benefits and perks.

Selection Process

The recruitment process consists of three stages:

  1. Preliminary Exam (March 8 and 15):
    • Subjects: English Language (40 marks), Quantitative Aptitude (30 marks), Reasoning Ability (30 marks)
    • Duration: 1 hour
    • Note: Negative marking applies for wrong answers.
  2. Main Exam (April-May):
    • Subjects:
      • Reasoning and Computer Aptitude (60 marks)
      • Data Analysis and Interpretation (60 marks)
      • General Awareness/Economy/Banking Knowledge (60 marks)
      • English Language (20 marks)
      • Descriptive Test (50 marks): Includes Email Writing, Report Writing, Situation Analysis, and Press Writing
    • Duration: 3 hours + 30 minutes for the descriptive test
  3. Group Exercise (20 marks) and Interview (30 marks): Scheduled for May-June for shortlisted candidates.

Examination Centers

  • Preliminary Exam Centers in West Bengal: Kolkata, Siliguri, Durgapur, Asansol, Hooghly, and Kalyani
  • Main Exam Centers: Kolkata, Hooghly, and Kalyani

Documents Required

  • Passport-size color photograph
  • Signature in black ink
  • Left-thumb impression
  • A hand-written declaration in English

Ensure all documents adhere to the prescribed dimensions and size mentioned in the notification.

Application Fee

  • ₹750 for General and OBC candidates.
  • No fee for SC/ST and Physically Handicapped candidates.
