Qualified candidates for the post
Head Constable (Motor Mechanic) – Candidates who have completed Higher Secondary three year diploma courses in Automobile Engineering can apply for this post. Higher Secondary passed students with 3 years experience in Motor Mechanic from any recognized institution with a bus certificate are eligible to apply.
- Age Limit: Candidates age for this post of Head Constable (Motor Mechanic) should be between 18 to 25 years.

Constable (Motor Mechanic)- Candidates applying for this post must have passed ITI or Automobile Engineering or any Motor Mechanic Certificate from any recognized Institute with Madhyamik pass. Also candidates who passed Madhyamik can apply if they have at least three years experience in automobile related work in any organization.
- Age Limit: Candidates should be between 18 – 25 years of age.
- Salary: 21700 – 69109
- Vacancies: Total Vacancies for this route are forty four. Gen 17, EWS 6, obc 7, ST SC 14
Physical Measurements
- Height: 170 cm
- Chest: 80 normal, 85 inflated
- Weight: Proportional to height
Candidates belonging to Schedule Community will get 4 cm chest and Candidates from North East region of Assam and Tripura will get 2 cm sir Visual acuity should be 6 six in one eye and 6 no in other eye without glasses for near distance N-6 in bad eye should be N nine . Physical fitness test will be declared as failure if broken leg and foot problem and eye strain. The candidate has to complete the 1.6 km run in seven and a half minutes.
11 feet long jump in three opportunities and three and a half feet high jump in three opportunities. If successful then have to pass the written test and medical test.
