Agniveervayu Air Force Recruitment 2025

The Indian Air Force is set to conduct multiple Agniveervayu recruitments. Both male and female candidates can apply for these positions. Selected candidates will be appointed under the Agnipath scheme, which offers a four-year contract. This recruitment is part of the Indian Air Force’s efforts to enlist individuals under the Agnipath project, aimed at strengthening the forces with young, dynamic personnel. The official recruitment notification for this process is numbered 01/2026. Candidates are encouraged to review all the official details carefully before applying for this unique opportunity to serve in the Indian Air Force.

Agnibirbayu Educational Qualification:

Candidates must have completed Higher Secondary with Mathematics and Physics or an equivalent qualification, securing at least 50% in total and 50% in English. Alternatively, candidates can apply with a 3-year Engineering Diploma, with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate, from a government-recognized Polytechnic institution in any of the following engineering disciplines: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Computer Science, Instrumentation Technology, and Information Technology. Additionally, candidates must have scored at least 50% in English in their secondary, higher secondary, or diploma course. Alternatively, candidates can have completed a 2-year vocational course with Mathematics and Physics, with at least 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in secondary, higher secondary, or vocational courses.

The candidate’s date of birth must be between January 1, 2005, and July 1, 2008.

Physical Standards:

  • Height: Minimum 152 cm
  • Chest: For men, the chest should measure 77 cm (un-inflated) and 82 cm (inflated). For women, the chest must be able to expand by at least 5 cm.
  • Weight: Should be in proportion to height and age.
  • Hearing: The candidate must have good hearing and be able to clearly hear a suppressed tone from a distance of 6 meters in both ears.

The candidate’s vision should be 6/12 in each eye, correctable to 6/6. Color recognition must meet the CP-2 standard. Hypermetropia should not exceed +2.0D, and myopia should be between -1D to +0.50D, with permissible astigmatism.

Candidates will be selected based on an online test, physical ability test, and two-stage adaptability test, followed by a medical examination. The online exam is scheduled to begin on March 22 and will feature questions at the Higher Secondary Level in Physics, Mathematics, and English, along with Reasoning and General Awareness. Negative marking will be applied.

The physical fitness test includes:

  • A 1.6 km run to be completed in 7 minutes (8 minutes for women)
  • 10 sit-ups in 1 minute (1.5 minutes for women)
  • 20 squats in 1 minute (15 squats for women)
  • 10 push-ups in 1 minute (for men only).

Agnibirbayu Salary:

The salary structure for the Agniveers is as follows:

  • First Year: ₹30,000 per month
  • Second Year: ₹33,000 per month
  • Third Year: ₹36,500 per month
  • Fourth Year: ₹40,000 per month

At the end of the four-year term, there is a conditional employment opportunity with the Navy. 25% of the Agniveers from the concerned batch will be given preference for permanent service in the Navy. A Special Seva Nidhi package will be provided to the remaining 75% of Agniveers to help them find alternative employment after retirement. However, they will not be entitled to pension, gratuity, or ex-serviceman benefits.

Online registration must be completed through the official website: https://agnipathvayu.cdac.in. Candidates must have an active email ID. Registration will be open from January 7 to January 27. Ensure to upload the following documents:

  • A scanned passport-sized photograph (taken after November 2024)
  • Black ink signature
  • Thumb impression of the left hand (all in the range of 10 to 50 KB in size)
    If the candidate is under 18 years, a signature from the father or mother is required. Additionally, all necessary educational qualification documents should be uploaded.
